I have other SD cards used 100% as portable storage that I have downloaded Amazon Prime Videos to. Problem 1: When I attempt to download videos to the portable storage portion of the partitioned card- the videos only download 75% and then stop progressing in the download. I have the option turned on for all content to download to the sd card. But, whenever I go to download anything, the fire saves it to internal storage. I've reset the fire twice and re-registered, all that. What is going on? Why won't it download videos and such from Amazon prime videos to the sd card like it's supposed to? Last edited by bob. Like vegging out on Amazon Video content but handicapped by the availability of your data? Sure, it’s great to have access to their library of movies and television shows from the comfort of your WiFi, but what about those times when you’re stuck on a long road trip or plane ride and you need your Mozart In The Jungle fix? Well, Amazon has heard your pleas.
As of today, Amazon Video and Amazon Prime Video will now allow Android users to download titles to their SD cards. Previously this capability was only available for your device’s internal storage, meaning you had to sacrifice precious limited space for your favorite videos.

If you own a device running Google's Android system, Amazon will let you download titles from its Netflix-like Prime Video service onto SD cards, removable storage units that keep your phone's internal storage from getting too packed. (Apple devices like iPhones have fully enclosed bodies that don't allow owners to slip in extra storage like an SD card.)
People who have purchased a digital video outright from Amazon can store the item on an SD card too.
The move opens the door to potentially loading up various cards with different content to swap in and out when you want to watch a video but can't connect to a network to stream.

The feature is available to Amazon customers in US, UK, Germany, Austria and Japan. They can automatically set the SD card as their default location for downloading and then, after an item is downloaded, they can switch the location where the title is stored in settings.
